Aviya Cookies Policy
Effective date: 9 October 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Aviya website at aviya.africa.
Aviya is operated by Saul Gibson (Private) Limited.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. They can help a website maintain a sign-in session, remember preferences or recognise a browser.
Some cookies last only for a browsing session. Others remain until they expire or you delete them.
Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, can also store information on your device.
2. The current Aviya website
The Aviya website provides product information, blog content, legal information and a launch-update waitlist.
The public website uses Google Analytics for website analytics. Analytics scripts and non-essential analytics cookies are used only after you accept analytics in our cookie banner. Declining analytics does not prevent you from reading the website, contacting Aviya or joining the waitlist. The website does not use advertising cookies.
You do not need to sign in to read the public website or join the waitlist.
WordPress, which powers the website, uses cookies when someone accesses its login or administration features. These cookies support authentication, security and administrator preferences.
3. Cookies used on this website
Google Analytics: _ga distinguishes browsers and _ga_* maintains Analytics session information. These first-party cookies help us understand website visits and interactions. They are set only with analytics consent and normally expire after up to two years. They are not used by the Aviya app.
Consent preferences: cmplz_* cookies remember whether you accepted or declined optional analytics and the version of the consent notice. These necessary preference cookies normally last up to one year.
We do not send names, email addresses, form field contents or Aviya account identifiers to Google Analytics.
Depending on how you access the website, WordPress may use the following cookies:
wordpress_test_cookie— checks whether the browser accepts cookies when the login page is visited. It is normally a session cookie.wordpress_logged_in_*— identifies an authenticated WordPress session.wordpress_sec_*— supports secure access to WordPress administration.wp-settings-*andwp-settings-time-*— remember a signed-in user’s administration preferences. WordPress normally sets these for up to one year.
Authentication-cookie duration depends on the sign-in settings and whether “Remember Me” is selected.
These cookies relate to website sign-in and administration. They are not used to advertise to visitors.
4. The Aviya waitlist and Mailchimp
The waitlist form sends submitted information to Aviya’s server. Aviya uses Mailchimp to manage subscriptions and deliver launch updates.
The current waitlist integration operates through Aviya’s server. It does not embed a Mailchimp signup widget or install a separate Mailchimp marketing cookie on the Aviya website.
Signup information is personal information rather than a cookie. Its handling is explained in the Aviya Privacy Policy.
If you follow a link to a Mailchimp-hosted confirmation or preference page, that service may use its own cookies under its own policies.
5. Security and server records
The website may process technical information, including request details and network addresses, to operate the service and protect it against misuse.
The waitlist also uses server-side measures to limit repeated submissions.
Server logs and server-side records are not browser cookies. Their handling is covered by the Aviya Privacy Policy.
6. Third-party websites
Links on the Aviya website may take you to other websites or services.
Those services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. This Cookies Policy describes the Aviya website and does not govern independent third-party websites.
7. Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw analytics consent at any time using the website’s “Manage consent” control. You can also use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection; it does not automatically remove information previously received by Google.
Blocking sign-in cookies may prevent WordPress authentication or administration from working correctly.
Deleting cookies does not delete your Aviya app account, remove farm or Batch records, or unsubscribe you from the waitlist.
To unsubscribe from marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in those emails. For account deletion, follow the instructions at aviya.africa/delete-account.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or its services change.
If our use of cookies or tracking technologies changes, we will update this page and the consent controls where necessary.
The current version will be available at aviya.africa/cookies.
